You can save your mobile phones from virus attacks by following these steps:
1: Do not click on unknown/untrusted links that come as a message or email.
2: Beware of the messages that cum with attachment(s) because as you will click on 'read now' / 'view' the virus can get activated.
3: Use a trusted antivirus such as F-Secure( www.f-secure.com ) or 'Bit Defender' with features like 'Anti-theft' and 'Password Protection'.
   (Recommended for smartphones . This can slow your phone's speed and reduce battery backup)
4: Connect your phone in 'file transfer' mode via USB cable and scan it through a trusted antivirus like Quick heal.
   (I recommend 'Quick heal total security fully registered' as you get a fully featured mobile scanner.)
5: Do not use 3rd Party Applications such as 'Nimbuzz' and 'E-Buddy' as your personal information can be compromised.
6: Use an extra mobile explorer software like 'file explorer' ( www.getjar.com ) by which you can delete unwanted files which take disk space and even the infected files like 'autorun.inf' nd 'kill virus.vbs'.
7: Do not keep your Bluetooth and WiFi on when not in use and prevent it's use in an public area.
