Well comming to the topic of this post, I would like to say that it is one of my favourite topics.
HTML, we all know about it and most of us know that a new version i.e HTML 5 is here and that is what I am writing about today.
It is basically a language to create structures and present data on World Wide Web. Originally proposed by opera software, is the 5th version of the HTML standard of 1990.
HTML5 is intended to subsume not only HTML 4 , but XHTML 1 and DOM Level 2 HTML as well. It is observed that html and xhtml have different specifications but same work and hence html 5 has born to create such single language that can be written with both html and xhtml syntax. It includes detailed processing models to encourage more interoperable implementations; it also extends, improves and rationalises the markup available for documents, and introduces markup and application programming interfaces (APIs) for complex web applications. For the same reasons, many features of HTML5 are built to run on low powered devices keeping in mind the view of Smartphones and Tablets. In December 2011 research firm Strategy Analytics forecast sales of HTML5 compatible phones will top 1 billion in 2013.
